   An Aluminum Awning needs to be designed based on your local requirements for live load / snow load and wind loads; every area is different but more than likely your local Building Dept. will require you to obtain a permit for your awning; the product should have accredited Engineering from a licensed engineer. Contact your local Building Dept. and ask what your live load or ground snow load and wind factor are.
