Assembly Instructions

Tools Needed for Installation
Hacksaw, Pliers, Tape Measure, Screw Driver, Pencil and Sharpe.

STEP 1
Using Cut Chart above measure and mark all Part A's with a fine tipped felt pen or pencil . Use the same procedure for Parts B & C  they are cut from the remaining cutoffs.

STEP 2
Cut the EMT using a hacksaw making sure to cut as square as possible. If you have a miter box that will accommodate a hacksaw it would  be helpful or a pipe cutter.

STEP 3

Using a pliers or a file remove the burrs from inside and the outside of EMT.

STEP 4
Install the cut EMT into the fittings as shown. Make sure the pipe does not protrude past the flush point of the intersecting EMT pipe.

STEP 5
Using two F3's and two F4's insert into the EMT and tighten just snug. Insert two part A's into F4's and add two more F3's tighten just snug . Measure the overall length. It should be between ( 47 1/2" to 48"  or 95 1/2" to 96") the height should be approximately 48".

STEP 6
Insert Parts B and C and tighten just snug. ( remember the 2 shorter pieces are for the center)

STEP 7
Repeat Step 5 for the other side. Parts B & C are already installed on the other half.

STEP 8
Align the short pieces with the other side and slide together. You might have to tap them into place. Tighten just snug. ( To adjust the depth for 16" firewood the rack should be approx. 13"  ---- For 18" firewood the rack should be approx. 15"  ---- For 24" firewood the rack should be approx. 21". Using a screwdriver or pliers tighten the eyebolts.( Do not over tighten as this could strip the threads.)

STEP 9
Carry the rack to where the firewood rack will be used. If you have chosen to place the firewood rack on a concrete surface the EMT at the bottom will work just fine to keep the wood off the ground. If you setting the rack on dirt or a grassy area you will want to put a 2" x 4" under each long side. Make the frame is stable and as level as possible. ( We recommend using Pressure Treated 2" x 4" )

STEP 10
Unfold the 6' x 12'  Silver Sunblocker Tarp and center it on the back of the woodrack allowing about a 3" overlap of the top to the inside and temporarily secure with grip clips about 8" away from the fittings on each top end. Make sure the tarp is as even as possible.

STEP 11
Lift the rack up and slide the excess tarp under the firewood rack. Allow the tarp to have about 4" - 5" of slack to allow for your firewood (remember the rack is a few inches narrower than the wood so the EMT holds wood off the ground) Use a few pieces of your firewood to make sure the rear tarp is positioned properly.

STEP 12
Using a couple of grip clips bring the sides of tarp around front and temporarily attach to the upright about 8" below the top fitting. Work the rest of the tarp under the wood rack. With 1 of the grip clips attach just above the bottom fitting of upright. Fold excess tarp as neat as possible inside rack (the firewood will keep that in place) Install grip clips 3/4" above lower outside fitting. Making sure the tarp is as even as possible.

STEP 13
Unfold the 6' x 10'  Silver Sunblocker Tarp and center it on top of the woodrack allowing about a 18" overlap of the top over the sides and align so the front flap is just above the ground. Using 2 grip clips temporarily attach the top. Make sure the tarp is as even as possible. Now the 3/4" EMT needs to attached with the cable ties supplied.( You can cut down the length of EMT but if left long it will help with rain trying to enter from the sides )The cable ties can be cut with a dikes or scissors being careful as not to nick the tarp.

STEP 14
Lower the flap down in it's finished position. Adjust flap using the grip clips on back of the top so the flap is just above the ground. Place a grip clip about 3/4" away from the end fitting on the top in back. Remove the temporary clip. On the other end use the same procedure. At the middle install a grip clip about 3/4" away from each side of center fitting.

STEP 15
Place a grip clip at front outside upright EMT about 3/4" below the top fitting. Remove the temporary clip. On the other end use the same procedure. Fold the excess tarp as you would a package. Using a cable tie secure the back corner grommet to the grommet from the side. The cable ties can be cut with a dikes or scissors being careful as not to nick the tarp. Repeat Step 14 for the 4 top front grip clips.

STEP 16
Make sure you are satisfied the firewood rack is in the desired location. Once you are sure you can start to load the firewood rack. Make sure you stack as evenly as possible and occasionally lower the flap to check that the wood is being stacked to allow for the flap to operate. Stack the wood evenly from end to end as to distribute the weight. When using the wood try to unload as even as possible.

Caution :Remember to keep children off of the firewood rack as they are not a jungle gym for children to climb on.
